A. Questions About Our Services
Question A-1: Are Editing and Proofreading different services?
Yes, Editing and Proofreading are different services. English Proofreading typically involves a final review and check during the acceptance stage, whereas English Editing is a more comprehensive revision service conducted before submitting articles to journals.
If you’re unsure about which service to choose, please visit our related blog post for more information:
Editing or Proofreading?
Question A-2: Can I see the changes made in the editing process?
For all our services (Editing, Proofreading, Revision, Final Check), we use the “Track Changes” feature in Word. This feature allows you to view every change made, including deleted letters or added punctuation, with a timestamp. Thus, you can see all the edits clearly.
Question A-3: Do you provide certificates? What is their validity?
We provide certificates for our editing services at no additional cost. Certificates are not issued for translation or formatting services. Our certificates are internationally valid. For sample certificates, downloading options, certification verification, and other queries, please visit our Certificate Details page.
B. Questions About Our Panel System
Question B-1: I don’t have an account. How can I create one?
When you fill out the form on the “Request a Quote” page (https://www.academiceditor.co.uk/panel/en/quote-request-form), an account linked to your email address is automatically created. Shortly after, you will receive an email titled [Your Quote Request Has Been Processed], which will include login details for accessing our panel system.
Question B-2: Am I required to upload my file when requesting a quote?
Uploading your file is not mandatory when requesting a quote. You can send your file later via email or through the panel. For more details, see the answer to “Question B-3.”
Question B-3: I didn’t upload my file while requesting a quote. How can I upload it now?
After requesting a quote, you received an email titled [Your Quote Request Has Been Processed], containing your login details, including the login page link, username, and password. Once logged into the panel, find the “Details” column and click on the orange tab. In the “Messages” section, you can message the editor/translator or upload your file using the [Choose File] and [Upload] buttons.
Alternatively, you can send your file to [email protected] . Our team will upload your file to the panel or forward it to the relevant editor on your behalf.
Question B-4: I’m encountering an error while requesting a quote. What might be the issue?
When requesting a quote, your account is also created. If you’ve previously filled out the form, you should have received an email titled [Your Quote Request Has Been Processed], containing your login details. Log into the panel using these credentials and create as many new requests as needed by clicking the “+New Quote” button.
Question B-5: How can I download my file?
Log into the panel (your login details are in the email we sent). In the “Details” column, click the orange tab. Your file will be available under the “Documents” section and also attached to the editor’s message in the “Messages” section, from where you can easily download it.
